Buy Malaysian Unique Handcraft

I am a Malaysian was born in Melaka, married and a father of four children. Most of Malaysian Handcrafts made by poor people that are struggling for their life or made by a handicaps people which are hopping tourists to buy their products. Not all tourists come here to buy handcrafts items. They are lucky enough if they can sell an average two items a day.

If we have a chance to help other people that are not so lucky like us. Most of us will think by giving those poor people a few dollars was sufficient enough. But in fact that won’t improve their life. What we are giving to them actually is hope to survive for few more days, and after that they are back to square one. On my opinion the correct way is actually we have to support their products so they can improve their life.

Their problem is to market their product to worldwide consumers. Normally they will sell their product to the souvenirs shop at a very low price. Or they will sell their product on their own. What I am trying to do here is to expose their product to the world and hope that we will have more buyers. My website is newly published on last March, we still have a lot of deficiencies but we are working on it.

Major categories for the handcraft in our place are Bamboo product, Wood and Rattan product. These items are easily to be found and does not have to use a lot of tools to produce a good quality of handcraft. The process of making handcraft from bamboo and rattan is quite similar. First we have to find a good quality of raw material, forests are the best place to get started. Second process is to cut it into suitable size and length so that it is easy to shape and can sustain force when we are using it. Third process is to shape it or to curve it to a suitable design, sometimes heat were applied during this process. Finally with their unique skills the handcraft is taking shape and two layer of varnish coating are applied to archive the finishing touch of the handcraft. Wooden handcraft item is commonly made from waste of wood material from the furniture factory. The design is up to their artistic creativity.

These handmade craft are not only for decoration or for displaying purposes, but some of them are ready to be use too. For example the wooden Reflexology sandal not only good for your health but is suitable to be use it cold climate area due to it is heat conductivity resistance material. Besides that these product is environmental friendly, easy for recycle, or disposal, and the price is relatively cheaper that other same product using a different material.

Lastly I would like to give my thanks to Mr. Travis Sago, for helping us in our marketing system. And thank you all for reading this article. Further inquires please come to our site on www.karyastudio.com
